Dean of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies
The Dean’s office is responsible for managing the college, all its
administrative, financial, and academic departments. They are responsible for
handling the affairs of the college according to the university’s rules and
regulations. As well as supervising the college’s vision and academic plan and
its’ execution.
Assistant Dean for Consulting and Training Office
Our office paints a vision board for the growth of our college in the four main substrates that form the infrastructure of an educational facility which are its management, the taught curriculums, the teachers, the students. We are keen on providing encouragement and support with the best available expertise for those who are interested in consultations and guidance for everyone. We focus on the betterment and improvement of our faculty’s teaching methods through professional training in educational and social skills.We always work on installing influential skills in our students through proper application and training. This is done with the purpose of involving our Islamic teachings into society in the best way.
Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies Office
The Vice Dean’s office is responsible for the college’s academic and
scientific affairs and the development of the applied curriculums with the
intention of pacing along with modern times and taking into consideration the
needs of the local labor market. The office aspires to work on enhancing the
research methods and strategies that are applied in the college and benefiting
from the expertise of academic arbitrators. As well as following up with the
proceedings of faculty member’s funded scientific research by cooperating
with the university’s Vice President’s office. Also supervising said research by
making sure all needs and terms are met from the funding parties. The office
is responsible for the supervision and development of different
postgraduate programs (High Diploma, Masters, PHD).
Assistant Dean of Student Affairs Office
In our office we intent on following the teachings of our prophet – may peace
be upon him – when supervising and encouraging our student’s education at
Al-Sharia & Islamic studies college with hopes of getting the blessing of Allah
the almighty.
Office Tasks:
Our office works along with the office of Guidance and Counseling on holding
many meetings, seminars, and visitations with the purpose of assisting our
students.
First: New Student Orientation:
This meeting is held in every semester to provide newcomers with the
proper knowledge and guidance for the following:
- Periods for enrollment and registration through the portal
List the things that might lead to receiving warnings.
- Introducing departments & their programs.
- Assistance with understanding the major sheets.
- Assistance with choosing the right major & minor.
- How to maintain a high GPA & be an honor student.
- Providing explanatory forms for university procedures.
Second: Registration Workshop:
Our office is keen on conducting this workshop prior to the registration
period of each semester with the intent of keeping all students up to date
with any changes or alterations. As well as guiding them on how to solve and
avoid any issues they may face when trying to register online. During these
workshops we distribute informative booklets and manuals.
Third: Attendance & Absence Orientation:
Our staff is avid to hold this orientation yearly to emphasize the
importance of attending all lectures and exams. As well as explaining the
cautionary notices and warnings a student may get when not complying to
the rules and regulations and how to avoid them getting them. During these
meetings students are informed of the exception cases that exams might be
permitted to be postponed. Students are also informed about disciplinary
measures that are taken when plagiarizing or cheating.
Fourth: Major Confirmation and the Rules of Transferring Meeting:
In this meeting we shed a light on the majors that are offered by
the college’s academic departments, when students are permitted to choose
or change their major, and the rules and conditions when a student wants to
transfer to another college within Kuwait University.
Fifth: Hosting Campus Visitations Receptions:
Our office conducts visits for students to the college library so they are
more familiar of the provided resources and facilities and how to benefit from
them when applying research.
