Course System:
Kuwait University has applied this system by setting credits to be
completed and passed with certain scores to graduate. Our students are given
freedom to take part of the responsibility for mapping out their way in
education based on the assigned required and selective course groups with
the assistance of student guidance counselors and the approved major sheets
for each school year and for all the fields. Those who fail certain courses are
permitted to redeem their grades by retaking them or a substitute course and
passing them with the approved scores. Educational progress and
achievements are mainly relying on the students’ efforts and commitments
to their studies.
Credits:

according to their passing grades. It is counted based on the days per week

for every taught course

with a set of academic courses with a vast variety in different areas and fields
to bring out graduates with different majors that have a wide horizon of
knowledge and information that are relative and crucial in society. This is
achieved by the selective course groups offered to all students along with the
courses offered by each college’s language center.
Main Major:
A set of course groups that are chosen by the departments that offer
the best relative knowledge and skills in a specific major.
Minor Major:
Each department sets a major sheet for main majors and minor majors. A

their minors. Students Guidance Counselor advises to choose minors that can
support the main major.
