College of Sharia and Islamic Studies

The Establishment of the College of Sharia & Islamic Studies 
The college of Sharia & Islamic Studies was established in the year 1402 AH/ 1982 
AD upon the request of the late Emir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah – May Allah 
have Mercy On Him – who issued the High Emiri Decree on 10/13/1981. It was 
founded to be the center of guidance for our youth in Kuwait University and a 
specialized Islamic Source of Light that beams on those who are interested in further 
education of Sharia & Islamic Studies among Kuwait and other Islamic countries and 
regions.
